Reviews about Caliber Collision

  • This place is the best. Jerry and his crew really helped us out quickly and effectively. While traveling through Fresno - we are from out of state - we were involved in a car accident. (!) Our truck needed to be repaired ASAP since it is the vehicle we use to tow our RV (our home) - which was left back up in the national park where we are camping. (we were just down here in town to tour the fruit trail). Its 3pm on a friday...we have a driver's side bumper rubbing against a tire.. and a tire thats quickly becoming compromised every time we turn right. The police were little help..what were we to do? The Ford dealership had the tire..but couldn't help us with the bumper. They sent us to Caliber Collision..maybe they can help. Not only were they friendly and kind...after hearing that we were supposed to head up to Montana on Sunday...they took the truck in -despite being totally busy - fixed the bumper, shook our hand, and told us to have a nice safe trip. In today's world where it seems that the bottom line is the only thing that anybody cares about, what a wonderful experience to be treated with compassion. We were able to get back to Ford, get the tire replaced, a safety check done and continue on with our grand rv adventure! This story has a happy ending thanks to the people at Caliber. Obviously we are not from around here and most probably will never be able to patronize this wonderful shop in the heart of Fresno. But if you live in Fresno and find yourself in need of auto body work we implore you: look no further than these guys...they are the best!! Thank you Jerry for taking what could have been a terrible memory of Fresno and turning it into a restoration of our faith in humanity.

My car was damaged minimally, so I filed a claim with my insurance company. My insurance company has an app. in which you can send in pictures of your car and they will estimate your damage and they sent me a check. With it was a listing of shops they endorsed, where I could get my car repaired. I called Caliber Autobody and they insisted they had to do their own estimate. My estimate was scheduled for a week from the time I spoke with them. When I went for the estimate, the estimator took some pictures of my car, and three minutes later, I was told they would get back to me to schedule the repair (I waited a week for them to snap some pictures and spend two minutes with me). A week later I still had not received the call to schedule my repair. I waited until the following Monday and called, asking when I was scheduled. The person on the phone told me they could schedule me right now leading me to believe that I really didn't have a scheduled time. I was then scheduled for October 3 at 1 o'clock. I wanted to bring in at 12;30 but was told that nobody would be there to take my car until 1 o'clock, no problem. Four days before I was scheduled to bring my car in, I still had not received my estimate. I called Caliber Autobody and I was put on hold for about four minutes. The receptionist then got on the phone, apologized for the wait, and then said what I mind holding a little longer, he was dealing with a customer that was in front of him. When he finally took my call, I told him I did not have an estimate yet. He asked if I wanted to schedule to get an estimate. I explained the whole situation, as above, to him. He asked me my name and then proceeded to tell me could not find my estimate or my paperwork. When I told him that this, and all of the above circumstances did not make me too confident in bringing my vehicle in, he simply told me, "Sir if you would like to take your car somewhere else to be repaired you are more than welcome to." At this point I was upset and I told him, "really; this is how you're trying to satisfy me and keep my business?" To which he replied "I told you I would look for it." So I told him to look for it and call me back. I never received that call. My car was scheduled to be repaired on October 3 at 1 o'clock. I never showed up for the appointment due to all of this incompetence. Not to my surprise, I did not receive a call, asking me why I missed my appointment. I will never bring my car there to be repaired. I figured that if the customer service and the scheduling is that bad, I'm afraid of what they'll do to my car. I would be happy to discuss this with the owner or the manager in charge at any time.

Very unprofessional staff! I walked in wanting a quick estimate and was told they were closing which was 30 minutes before their actual closing time. They said I can schedule an estimate with them in like a week. I was like really just for someone to look at my car no more than 5 minutes! These people were really rude by the way. I ended up going to the Caliber Collision in Clovis. They're much professional and treat their customers with kindness, they even ended up getting my estimate the moment I walked in. This Fresno place needs to work on their people skills really bad.

  • The amazing team at this location went FAR above and beyond the call of duty in helping repair my vehicle. When I dropped my vehicle off, I casually mentioned that my wife was 39 weeks pregnant. I didn't do this to put any pressure on the staff, but just while making small talk. However, Joey and his team immediately rushed us to the front of the queue so our car would be ready before our baby came. Even though they initially had told me the repair could take 7-8 calendar days (5 business days plus the Labor Day holiday), they rushed the job and had the car finished in less than 4 calendar days! I cannot thank them enough. Even though this was an "insurance repair," I cannot think of any other location I would use in the future no matter who is paying for it. My wife and I will enthusiastically recommend this location to anyone we know who is looking for a repair shop. Each staff member was exceedingly courteous, kind, and a joy to work with. They all deserve a commendation for their exceptional customer service!
